The 2013 Best Chip Competition is out to acknowledge all your hard-work!<\/strong><\/p>\n

After months of deliberation, checking through entry forms, fat testing chips at the lab and mystery judging we finally have our winners.\u00a0 Both Regional Winners and Highly Commended Awards from each of the six regions, are named below.<\/p>\n

Remember \u2013 Highly Commended Awards are given to operators whose chips, upon fat testing, contained less than 9% fat. Which means they are doing their bit to follow our Industry Standards.<\/p>\n

For this competition participants were required to have a current certificate for the Chip Group Training.\u00a0 The impact of training was reflected in the lower chip fat content for the \u00a0Highly Commended shops (7.8%) compared with 9.9% for the 18 regional finalists winners in the previous 2011 competition.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

For those of you who didn\u2019t receive a Highly Commended Award \u2013 now\u2019s the time to check the temperature of those vats and make sure you and your staff are shake, banging and hanging. Keep working hard on providing your customers with the best quality and lowest fat chips you can serve, and start practising for the next competition.<\/p>\n
